Generation Gap

This poem is about traits you pick up from you parents and age.

Generation Gap

Hairs rise out of moles

as one gets older,

and thicker, when

plucked unwillingly

from swollen starts.

No one told me for 18 years

this gives you cancer.

Cancer like the parting of

lines shot from some

distant vane, mapping

the place where generation splits.

My parents, are getting older.
