SUZANNA SCOTT // FEAR

Triptych exhibited alluding to repetition and overwhelming consumerism.

Suzanna's masterfully methodical camerawork is what makes this submission so enthralling.

"These pictures explore the intimidating and disorienting effects of mass consumption. Faced with an
overwhelming onslaught of piled-up goods, special offers and advertising slogans, we find our senses
disrupted and confused. Too much choice leads to paralysis. There is so much to focus on that
we can’t focus on anything. As a result fear, anxiety, suffocation and resentment are more likely to
be aroused by a trip to the shops than excitement, happiness and fulfillment."
