We're pretty excited right now due to the fact that this weekend we’re heading up to Liverpool for the Biennial festival. But we’re not going just to practice our scouse (maybe a little), we’re going because Mercy posed us the challenge of organising a night for one of their ‘Midnight Special’ events. So with lots of careful planning, organisational prowess (maybe) and lots of favours, we planned one. And this weekend it will come into action, here:
The Cooperative

On Friday, for the Cooperative’s opening party, we’ll be reading poetry, while Dead Red Sun play ambient zombie covers, and Comic Assault draw all over the front of us on plastic, and everybody else draws on paper and probably the floors and maybe our naked selves if it looks like it's heading that way. Head down at about 9 to this one because there's lots of stuff going on around us as well
And then on Saturday we’re doing it all again! But this time we’ll be either before of after the SSYK gang who are celebrating the imminent release of their fourth and BEST anthology yet. There’s going to be some kind of drinking poetry game extravaganza so you probably definitely don’t want to miss that. Head down for Midnight, as it is the midnight special, and we can see in the early hours with delirious poetry heads
We feel super lucky to be asked to organise something at such a brilliant event, and if anyone’s around this weekend, come down, say hi, listen to some poems and draw on everything.
