Overview:
The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies.
We enable vulnerable people in the UK and abroad to prepare for and withstand emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives.
The communications co-ordination team shapes, designs and disseminates the Red Cross story through all non-press/broadcast media including the Red Cross website and other electronic media, Red Cross publications, appeals and campaigns and internal communications, including the intranet.
The post-holder will write copy for publications, exhibitions, websites and internal communications, across the whole range of British Red Cross work, supporting the rest of the writing team.
Are you looking to use your fantastic writing skills to help people in crisis? We want someone to help tell the Red Cross story through a variety of print and online media. You could find yourself writing news stories for our website, creative features for our volunteers' magazine, engaging posts for our blog, and other types of copy as needed.
