Moctezuma and the Mexica

The amazing British Museum currently has the show Moctezuma: Aztec Ruler running as it's 'blockbuster'. Impeccably-constructed mosaic masks, primitive depictions of blood sacrifices and an obsidian mirror that refracts the self headline the tangible history lesson. Or so I'm told. I bumbled along today with full intention to see this show and explode with ritualistic understanding, but the £10 student rate priced me out. I feel a little offended, to be honest.

I am definitely going back when I get my loan through, though. You should fetch a slice, too. It's on until January 24th, so no excuses. Report back with the type of animal depicted by the bowl used for blood sacrifice in the second room.
